The NEW JOBS team would like thank all of our contributors this year.  We had a record breaking fundraising year, along with record breaking attendance at our events.   We will continue to provide you with fantastic opportunities for face to face interaction with the State’s legislators and legislative leaders.   We will continue to monitor each legislator’s votes on key issues as we put together our list of endorsement legislation for the next election.  And we will continue to be the voice of business throughout each election cycle.

North Jersey Legislative Event

Mercer/ Warren/ Hunterdon Counties Legislative Reception

On October 5, NEW JOBS hosted another successful legislative reception at the beautiful Mansion at Bristol-Myers Squibb in Hopewell.  Over 70 guests spent the night networking with candidates for the General Assembly and Senate as well as incumbent legislators seeking re-election including: Senator Christopher "Kip" Bateman (R-16), Assemblyman Daniel Benson (D-14), Assemblyman  Assemblyman Gary Chiusano (R-24), Assemblyman John DiMaio (R-23), Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose (R-24), Senator Steven Oroho (R-24), Assemblyman Erik Peterson (R-23), Senator Shirley Turner (D-15), and Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-15).  Senate Candidate Richard Kanka and Assembly Candidate Wayne Wittman were also in attendance.  Many thanks to event chair Patrick Ryan, Esq., Chairman of the Board, Hopewell Valley Community Bank, and our hosts at Bristol-Myers Squibb whose hard work made the event a tremendous success.

Legislative Reception

On September 27, NEW JOBS hosted another successful legislative reception at the elegant Breakers Hotel, on the ocean in Spring Lake.  Over 60 guests spent the night networking with candidates for the General Assembly as well as incumbent legislators seeking re-election including:  Assemblywoman Mary Pat Angelini (R-11); Senator Jennifer Beck (R-12); Assemblywoman Caroline Casagrande (R-12); Senator Christopher Connors (R-9); Assemblyman Ronald Dancer (R-30); Assembly Republican Leader Alex DeCroce (R-26); Assemblywoman DiAnne Gove (R-9); Assemblyman James Holzapfel (R-10); Senator Sean Kean (R-11); Senate Republican Leader Thomas Kean, Jr. (R-21); Senator Joseph Kyrillos (R-13); Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon (R-12); Assemblyman David Rible (R-11); Assemblyman Brian Rumpf (R-9); Senator Robert Singer (R-30); Assemblyman Samuel Thompson (R-13); and Assemblyman David Wolfe (R-10).  Many thanks to event chair Fred Brody, of Brody Business Development, whose hard work made the event a success.

Morris/Sussex Legislative Reception

On July 13, Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno was the keynote speaker at the eighth Annual NEW JOBS Morris and Sussex Counties Legislative Reception, held at the national corporate headquarters of pharmaceutical giant Daiichi Sankyo in Parsippany. Event Co-Chairs, Paul Boudreau, President, Morris County Chamber of Commerce; Shawn Laurenti, President of Laurenti Consultants; Jack Miller, President and COO of Solix, Inc.; and Charles A. Roberts, President and CEO of Ames Rubber Corporation hosted a capacity crowd including 132 guests and 10 legislators. The ten legislators who attended were as follows: Assemblyman Jon Bramnick (R-21), Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz (R-21), Senator Steve Oroho (R-24), Assemblyman Gary Chiusano (R-24), Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose (R-24), Senator Tony Bucco (R-25), Assemblyman Anthony Bucco (R-25), Senator Joe Pennacchio (R-26), Assembly Republican Leader Alex DeCroce (R-26), and Assemblyman Jay Webber (R-26).

On May 10, 2011 the NEW JOBS PAC held our 25th Annual South Jersey Legislative Reception at the Woodcrest Country Club in Cherry Hill, NJ.
